Bob Beltz has served as the Senior Minister of Valley Mills Christian Church since October of 2013.   From 2002 – 2007, he served as the Worship Minister, coming back in 2013 to follow God’s call in his current role.  Born and raised near Daytona Beach, Florida, he graduated from Florida Christian College of Kissimmee in 1983, where he met and married his college sweetheart, Robin.  They have two girls, Amanda and Kristi, who are both married and serving the Lord in vocational ministry.  They are blessed with two grandsons, Oliver and Tucker, and a granddaughter, Harvey Rose, and another girl on the way.

One of Bob’s favorite scriptures is found in 2 Corinthians 12:9 – But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Some of Bob’s favorite leisure activities include mowing the lawn, riding on his 4 wheeler, spending time with family, and attending various auto racing events.  One thing people may not know is that several years ago Bob won 1st place in a “Faster Pastor” School Bus Race at Lincoln Park Speedway, Putnamville, IN.

Ezra Davis joined us as the Student Minister here at Valley Mills in 2014.   He graduated from Kentucky Christian University in 2012 with a degree in Youth and Family Ministries.   Ezra grew up in Mooresville, Indiana where he met his wife, Danielle. They have a daughter, Kensington, and a son, Quenton, both keep the awesome couple on their toes. In his spare time Ezra likes to hunt, fish, read and spend time with his family.  He is an avid Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Ezra is very passionate about helping students uncover that they are children of God and they are beautifully and wonderfully made. Ezra, with the help of his awesome volunteers, is creating an atmosphere that acts as a launching point for the students that come through the doors!

Tanya Henthorn joined Valley Mills in October of 2019 as the Children’s Minister.  She is a graduate of Lincoln Christian College and has over 20 years of Children’s Ministry experience in Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana.  Tanya has a deep passion for connecting with kids as well as their parents and walking alongside of the family to equip and encourage them in their child’s spiritual journey.

Robin Paul has been on staff with us since 2015; she serves as our part-time Ministry & Counseling Coordinator. Robin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who desires to use her Spirit-given capacity in exhortation to serve God by motivation others to action through relationship and helping identify practical steps for problem-solving. Organizationally, Robin has several years of supervisory and management experience. She is a strong believer that “church” is not a place you go, but something to “be”. Robin loves focusing on community collaborations, and has a heart for helping families affected by addictions and loss.
Robin & her husband, Phil, enjoy spending their non-work time boating, fishing, and spending time with family. They have a teenage son who is very active in competitive swimming, and their daughter and her husband have blessed them with two incredible grandsons. Their family also includes Squiggles, an eight pound shitzu who loves riding on the helm of their boat like he is on the Titanic.

Tanya Gonterman is our Administrative Coordinator with several years of experience in church office administration.  She is married to her high school sweetheart, Todd (who you may see on Sunday mornings behind the drums as part of the worship team), and together they have two adult children, Shelby and Mason.   Recently, they were blessed to add a new son-in-law and daughter-in-law to their family.  Tanya grew up in Louisville, KY but has traveled extensively during her husband’s 22-year career in the United States Navy — their time living in Guam was one of her favorite (and farthest!) places to live and was the birthplace of their son, Mason.  As a recent ‘empty-nester’, she enjoys the outdoors and especially witnessing God’s beautiful creations while exploring Indiana with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Tanya has a heart for hospitality and welcoming newcomers and can be found most Sundays serving at the Welcome Center Table — be sure to stop by and introduce yourself!

Heather has a deep desire to love, nurture, and inspire children from the moment they enter the preschool until it’s time for them to go home.   She is determined to build strong foundations for our children that will equip them to be successful future adults.
